1. The Double-Mask (Scavenging) Nasal Hood:

Most older N₂O systems use a single mask that delivers gas to the patient — but allow the exhaled gas (containing unused N₂O) to escape into the room. Over years of clinical work, this exposes the dental team to chronic, low-level N₂O — which has documented health effects on staff.

How a Sedation Session Works
