Oral Surgery at Dentistar
Oral Surgery encompasses the most advanced procedures of modern dentistry — from placing dental implants to extracting impacted wisdom teeth. At Dentistar Dental Clinic in Strovolos, Nicosia, we perform all procedures with digital planning, modern equipment and strict safety protocols, so the result is predictable, painless and efficient.
Dental implants are the gold standard of modern dentistry for replacing lost teeth.
Wisdom teeth — the third molars — are the last teeth to appear, usually between ages 17 and 25.
A balanced smile depends not only on the teeth, but on the relationship between teeth, gums and lips.

Everything You Need to Know
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are dental surgical procedures painless?
Yes. All procedures are performed under modern local anaesthesia and are completely painless. Foranxious patients, we can discuss additional relaxation techniques. After surgery, discomfort is usually mild and managed with common painkillers.
How long does recovery take?
It depends on the procedure. For a simple extraction or implant placement, most patients return tonormal activities the next day. For more complex procedures (impacted wisdom teeth, bonegrafting), 3–5 days of recovery may be needed.
Do I need special tests before surgery?
In many cases (especially before implants or complex extractions), a 3D X-ray (CBCT) isrecommended for precise planning. Certain medical histories may also require blood tests.
Should I stop any medication beforehand?
In some cases (e.g. anticoagulants), discontinuation or adjustment is done only in consultation with your treating doctor. We always discuss your medical history thoroughly before surgery.
Do you accept patients travelling from abroad?
Yes. Many of our patients come from across Cyprus and from abroad. We design treatment plans to be completed in as few trips as possible, leveraging digital planning and remote pre-assessment.
Do you treat children with surgical needs?
Paediatric cases are evaluated and treated in collaboration with Dentistar’s Paediatric Dentistry team, who specialise in approaching children with patience and safety.
